23 May 2017: The LINET Group SE has brought significant resources to the Africa Health 2017 exhibition, where the new Eleganza 5 was introduced to the region for the first time. The unique child’s bed TOM 2 can also be seen and tried out there. The LINET Group SE intends to provide information about other ongoing projects at stand 3L10. For example, it will present a new cutting-edge OBGY product, the AVE 2 birthing bed, and is offering invitations to the LINET Academy, the education centre for nurses and technical staff.
The Eleganza 5 acute care bed is designed to lighten staff workloads and function ergonomically, with unique features supporting an effective and comfortable convalescence. Among the sophisticated features, the 15° lateral tilt stands out in particular, as it facilitates the process of positioning and handling the patient in the bed. This reduces the strain on the backs of staff making the bed, or washing and positioning the patient, while also reducing the energy expended by 30%. “One of the LINET Group’s European customers ordered the Eleganza 5 bed immediately after serial production had been initiated. The new beds with the lateral tilt function will assist the nursing team in the Hospital San Francisco De Asís in Madrid, Spain,” stated Jiří Plecitý, managing director of LINET MEA, a subsidiary of the LINET Group SE based in Dubai.
Another unmissable product at the LINET Group’s stand is the innovative child’s bed, the TOM 2, an attractive design intended for ICUs and Med/Surg wards. The entire conception behind the bed is a response to the needs of cutting-edge paediatric care, defining a new category of beds in this field. It has electrical positioning using columns, there is a safe, clever concept behind the positioning of the side rails and excellent access for care staff, with no barrier to hinder them. The friendly design is rounded off by TOP parameters and has a positive effect on both the children in the beds and their parents. The LINET brand has also broken into the birthing beds sector with the sophisticated advanced design of the AVE 2 bed.
The Middle East and Africa is one of the key development areas for the LINET Group SE, which is why the new subsidiary company LINET MEA was founded last year. “Our priority is to strengthen our network of business partners and distributors to the maximum, and also to provide value-added customer support,” stated Jiří Plecitý, managing director of LINET MEA. Tangible support for healthcare professionals in the region comes under the expert umbrella of LINET Academy – an education centre aimed at the effective use of medical equipment in practice. Topically, a team of LINET clinical coaches and visiting experts will devote themselves to the issue of decubitus prevention, training in ergonomically correct patient positioning and handling, automatic lateral therapy for the prevention of pulmonary complications, etc. Courses for hospital technical staff and biomedical engineers have also been prepared.
