The annual Nursing Conference returns to Africa Health for its 8th edition providing the premier interdisciplinary forum for Nurses, Nursing Directors, Academics and Educators. As usual, our mandate is to provide a platform to discuss and debate the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, clinical challenges and the solutions adopted in the fields of nursing.

The 2019 edition will explore the issue of nursing shortages in the region providing delegates with factual and statistical information and policy review then narrowing the issue to a micro-scale to help tackle this issue within healthcare institutions. The agenda will also investigate key stakeholder’s role in improving nursing opportunities within both public and private institutions.

  • Discuss the current nursing policy and its effect on the nursing profession in the region
  • Ascertain whether education and training needs are being met
  • Debate strategies to respond to the nursing shortage from a stakeholder perspective
  • Review nurse shortages in low-resource areas and how this can be addressed
