Biomedical Engineering Conference

29 May 2019

Gallagher Convention Centre

With the Fifty Anniversary of the International Federation of Medical and Biomedical Engineering taking place next year, the Biomedical Engineering Conference during Africa Health will look to the future to reflect and strategize on the best methods to move forward. In conjunction with this theme, the Year of Biomedical Engineering will have its focus in South Africa in 2019.

Showcasing the trends in biomedical engineering, the conference will look to the past to understand how to develop further over the course of the next fifty years. With the morning session focusing on the essence of collaboration, we will have different stakeholders come together and provide thought leadership. Bringing together biomedical engineers with those in life cycle management, innovation and intellectual property; we will end the session with a panel discussion for delegates to interact and discuss the essential topics with our esteemed speakers.

The afternoon will finish off the theme with an emphasis to the future; having focused sessions on machine learning and artificial intelligence. This will give the delegates the opportunity to discuss the theoretical, the practical and provide the opportunity to learn the latest updates.
