In the last decade, a lot of progress has been made in the field of infectious diseases in South Africa, and the surrounding region. Despite this progress, there are still looming concerns over infectious diseases, both in the region and worldwide. Facing many major health concerns, such as TB and HIV, this conference will deal with issues which are widespread in the African context.
The new one-day Infectious Diseases Conference will offer delegates high profile speakers, as well as exposure to less discussed issues, such as the underdiagnosed hepatis E virus in the region. The agenda is designed to provide delegates the latest information in the diagnosing, treating and preventing of a wide range of common, significant and lesser known infectious diseases. The scope and nature of the presentations will deliver up-to-date information for all medical professionals in the focal area of infectious disease.
